Welcome to our riverside cottage in Potter Heigham on the Norfolk Broads

Windy Ridge Waterfront Holiday Cottage is available for holiday rentals all year round. Located along the riverbank at Potter Heigham it is the 11th property along the footpath from the 15th century bridge, which is far enough away from the road and local amenities for tranquility and relaxation, but still close enough to be a short walk. Windy Ridge is one of the older cottages on the riverbank and is full of character. It has recently been modernised and refurbished giving it a fresh look inside and out, with a large master bedroom overlooking the river it is the perfect place for a peaceful getaway.

  There is 42ft of private decked frontage onto the River Thurne which is fenced to keep pets and children on dry land. You can sit outside under our wooden gazebo and watch the hustle and bustle of the river during the day and enjoy peace and tranquility as evening approaches. The rear of the property overlooks the Ludham & Potter Heigham Marshes nature reserve which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, stretching into the distance which is noted for its diverse range of bird, plant and insect species. In the evening spectacular sunsets can be seen over the wilderness until dusk when you can see bats flitting about under the clear starry sky.
